Sr. Director/VP – HR Organizational Development

The main function of this role will be Organizational Development, creating leadership and development programs and succession planning.

SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the COO of this global heavy equipment company, the main function of this role will be Organizational Development, creating leadership and development programs and succession planning. The Senior Director of HR is responsible for strategically leading all human resources and General Affairs functions to align with company objectives and business plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performance Management - Define and lead the company's performance management philosophy and framework to achieve the company's goals
  • Talent Acquisition - Lead the development of enterprise‑wide workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies aligned with mid or long‑term business objectives.
  • Benefits - Consider and lead benefit strategy changes, ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Employee Engagement - Drive employees' engagement strategies based on survey insights and organizational needs.
  • Talent Development - Provide strategic direction for leadership development, succession management, and learning frameworks.
  • Position & Compensation Management - Lead organizational design changes and support restructuring efforts with the management team. Ensure compensation strategies align with corporate performance, labor market trends, and internal equity.
  • Legal & Compliance - Provide strategic oversight of the Legal function, ensuring governance, compliance, and risk management. Oversee complex compliance cases and partner with Legal for escalated matters
  • Internal Audit - Lead governance over internal control frameworks, including SOX/J‑SOX compliance and audit readiness.
  • General Affairs - Provide strategic direction for General Administration, including facilities, safety, corporate services, and office operations.
  • Regular Report & Analysis - Lead executive or BOD‑level reporting and discussion about HR & Corporate strategic initiatives
  • Team Leadership & Functional Development - Communicate vision, strategic priorities, and performance expectations clearly across the organization. Foster a high‑performing, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM‑SCP, SPHR, CIPD Level 7, or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge/ Skill
  • Deep knowledge of general HR strategy, benefit program, and employee relations.
  • General knowledge of Legal, Compliance, and Internal Control
  • Knowledge of HRIS, LMS, and corporate systems (ERP, compliance tools, etc.).
  • General skill of personal computer (Microsoft Office, Office365)
  • Experience
    • 15+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or corporate management roles.
    • Experience leading multiple functional managers (HR, Legal, Internal Control, GA) preferred.
