SUMMARY
 
Our client is a leader in lift equipment design and manufacturing and is looking for a Project Engineer to join their engineering department. Alternative thinking is encouraged to be part of a small but nimble team with some exciting and challenging design projects ahead. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform various roles related to project development and conceptual engineering design.
  • Oversee project scope development working directly with engineering and client operations.
  • Establish project design basis through interpretation of relevant industry codes.
  • Perform engineering studies, calculations and hydraulic analysis, design specifications, scope of work documents, and project cost estimates.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with client design and project execution procedures and guidelines. 
REQUIREMENTS 
  • Bachelor’s degree is essential, and either a PE license or proven history of design work such as patents is highly preferred.
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience (preferably up to 10 years) in mechanical design projects of construction or agricultural machinery that involved knowledge of hydraulics and electrical/ electronic component interface.
  • Proven ability to apply sound mechanical principles to a whole machine project and solve problems found through testing and development is desired.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is a must, and experience in FEA studies is preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
